YMC-Triart and YMC-Triart Prep are bulk packing materials based on novel organic/inorganic hybrid silica particles. These materials can be widely applied from lab-scale purification to industrial production. Their excellent durability allows effective cleaning of the gel with alkaline solution. These materials provide excellent mechanical stability, and can be packed into a column repeatedly. The longer lifetime of YMC-Triart Prep greatly contributes to the reduction of production cost.

Features
YMC-Triart is based on novel organic/inorganic hybrid particles. The particles combine the high mechanical stability and high efficiency of silica-based packing materials with the high chemical stability of polymer-based packing materials. A granulation process utilizing microreactor technology enables continuous and highly controlled production of the hybrid particles. The particles have uniform pore size distributions and smooth surfaces, as well as uniform particle sizes. This feature greatly contributes to excellent peak shape and separation reproducibility.
The YMC-Triart Prep material remains in its initial state after repacking more than 10 times. On the other hand, conventional silica shows pressure increases or crushed particles. The high mechanical stability of YMC-Triart Prep enables longer column lifetimes, and this feature reduces purification costs.

YMC-Triart Prep C18-S has identical selectivity to analytical Triart C18. A method established with analytical Triart C18 can be directly transferred to the preparative scale using the Triart Prep C18-S material.

YMC-Triart Prep materials are highly acid-proof at lower pH conditions and alkaline-proof at higher pH conditions. These features enable purification with a mobile phase containing TFA and cleaning with alkaline solution, which are often used for peptide and protein purification.

After repeated injection of crude serum samples, the adsorption of proteins and/or other impurities on the surface of the packing material sometimes results in poor peak shape or degradation of retention capacity. In such cases, an alkaline washing procedure is generally adopted for regeneration and removal of impurities from the packing materials.
Hybrid silica-based YMC-Triart Prep, which shows strong resistance to high pH, allows effective cleaning of the gel with alkaline solution. This feature provides highly cost-effective purification of target compounds.
