YMC-Triart PFP 層析管柱
YMC-Triart PFP is a pentafluorophenyl bonded phase. The selectivity is unique owing to the various forces arising from hydrophobic, π–π, and dipole–dipole interactions. YMC-Triart PFP is especially effective for improving the separation of aromatic compounds, nitro compounds, and halogen compounds because the selectivity is very different from that of other columns.

POINT
■ Alternative selectivity to C18/C8 due to unique polar interaction
■ Superior planar cognitive ability/steric selectivity
■ Ideal for separations of polar compounds or isomers
Features
As the differences in the hydrophobicities of the cis-trans isomers of piperine, which is a pungent component of pepper, are small, commonly used reversed phase columns are not suitable for their separation. However, YMC-Triart PFP provides excellent separations as it recognizes minor charge localizations in a molecule owing to various binding through as π–π and dipole–dipole interactions. YMC-Triart PFP shows high selectivity towards compounds with small structural differences.
